Anja Riebensahm

Anja was born in Germany, grew up in Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, and Ghana, and spent 22 very happy years in New York City, before settling for a quieter life in Asturias, Northern Spain. Formerly the owner of a Manhattan fancy cake shop, she now spends most of her time as a freelance illustrator, muralist and surface designer. Her work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, A Cup of Jo, Buzzfeed, and in various books. You can find her murals at Jack’s Wife Freda restaurants in Manhattan and Brooklyn, and her wallpaper in restaurants, homes, and shops all over the world.
